Get to Know Barbara A. Lesco, DDS
Dr. Lesco has been practicing dentistry for over 40 years, and she opened her first periodontic practice to serve the Inner Harbor area in 1984. She cherishes the relationships she’s built with her patients over the years, and nothing makes her happier than seeing someone grow and thrive thanks in small part to her care. She looks forward to welcoming you into our practice, and below, you can start getting to know her.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Lesco was born in New Bedford, MA and received her B.A. in Biology from Boston University. She went on to graduate with multiple honors from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry in 1977. She then spent a year at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore as a dental general practice resident and returned to the dental school for her training in periodontics. After graduation, she taught full-time for four years in the Department of Periodontics at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry and has continued to teach part-time in the Periodontics Post Graduate Clinic.
Dr. Lesco has been voted as a Top Dentist in Baltimore every year since 2017, and she is the co-founder of the Gerald M. Bowers Study Club. She is also a member of the:
